Beta Progetti
About us
Beta Progetti is an engineering company founded in 1987 by Luigi Berti and Luigi Tavoni, two technicians from florence specialized in thermotechical systems design.
1996 is an important year because BETA PROGETTI began its collaboration with EXECUTIVE Engineering, an engineering company founded in 1996 by Fabrizio Setti, specialized in the design of electrical and special systems.
Thanks to the synergy between the two companies, BETA PROGETTIi became a engineering company specialized in integrated MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) design.
In 2001, the two companies strengthened their relationship and both moved to a new shared headquarter. the operational management of both the companies passed to Fabrizio Setti.
In 2017 luigi berti left BETA PROGETTI. EXECUTIVE engineering took over Luigi Berti’s company shares. Thus maintening the solid collaboration between Fabrizio Setti and Luigi Tavoni.
The following year after Luigi Tavoni’s death executive engineering, led by Fabrizio and Claudio Setti, took over BETA PROGETTI and became the group holding company.
Since 2021, BETA PROGETTI has become a registered trademark, and the idea of BETA PROGETTI group took shape—a group of companies under the same brand, guided by a single technical and administrative management. The group offers integrated engineering services according to new BIM (Building Information Modeling) Management operating methods.
In 2022, EXECUTIVE Engineering was renamed BETA PROGETTI Engineering, and in 2023, engineer Enrico Franzese, coming from the infrastructure design sector, joined BETA PROGETTI group. He was entrusted with the technical direction of the group and co-founded a new company: BETA PROGETTI Infrastrutture.
Beta Progetti's Experiences
In the 1980s, BETA PROGETTI began its journey in plant design, primarily developing design work in the thermotechnical area in assistance to architectural firms.
In the 1990s, the collaboration with EXECUTIVE Engineering started a new path in integrated plant design, enabling the development of numerous experiences in various sectors, especially in the world of general construction, supporting clients such as companies, real estate funds, and general contractors.
In the 2000s, BETA PROGETTI developed significant expertise in Project Management and construction design for companies. Thus, playing a crucial role as the “engineering” force behind the construction of technological systems serving important building complexes.
From 2010, the encounter with the Piccini Group allowed for significant growth in international MEP design experience, developing knowledge of international design standards and enhancing construction design levels, including procurement and the shipping of project elements and technical components.

With over 35 years of experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) design across all sectors, both nationally and internationally, combined with the investment and development of BIM procedures within BETA PROGETTI Group, the company has been able to undertake large-scale projects in recent years. This has increased the quality level of our output, allowing us to develop construction designs up to LOD G development levels defined by UNI 11337.

The Group
BETA PROGETTI Group is headquartered in Florence at Via Bronzino 56/1.
The proprietary offices were created from the renovation of a 600 square meter commercial building, entirely independent, which houses over 50 open-space workstations, meeting rooms, and all administrative and executive offices across three different levels.
The companies within the group are:
- BETA PROGETTI Engineering: Specializes in MEP system design in the private sector for small to medium-sized projects.
- BETA PROGETTI: Focuses on MEP system design for large projects in both private and public sectors.
- BETA PROGETTI Infrastrutture: Specializes in the design of civil and infrastructural systems.
Business Units of Beta Progetti
The new market for engineering services created in recent years, also due to the advent of Building Information Modelling (BIM), in which BETA PROGETTI Group has been involved for over 20 years, has required a reorganization of its structure into Business Units and the creation of new sectors such as infrastructure, hospital sector design, and Project Management, all integrated by a BIM Management division.
This subdivision arises from a series of experiences accumulated in recent years and a network of personal collaborations between professionals from different, already existing, and proven sectors:
It brings together professionals with over 30 years of experience in the management, construction, operational direction, startup, and testing of all types of technological systems serving buildings, networks, regulation and BMS systems.
An internal division best represents the over thirty-year synergy between Beta Progetti and Beta Progetti Engineering. This division specializes in design and engineering services aimed at electrical, mechanical, and special systems in all sectors, both for public and private contracts.
It bases its operations on specific experiences in the sector gained in recent years with successfull projects realized with Autostrade per l’Italia, its design companies and other infrastructures companies.
It stems from over 20 years of consolidated expertise by BETA PROGETTI in developing detailed engineering systems design for constructing high-tech hospital sectors (diagnostics - operating rooms).
As an internal division of the group, it gathers the decade-long experience, resources, references, and successes accumulated in developing multidisciplinary BIM design. The organizational choice to make it a well-defined division integrated with other divisions promotes and rewards the group's digital technology application choice in engineering since 2015.

FABRIZIO SETTI
CEO and Founder
Born in 1969, Fabrizio has worked in engineering for over 30 years. He graduated with an Electrical Engineering degree in Florence, then began his career in integrated MEP design, founding Beta Progetti Engineering in 1996 and leading Beta Progetti Group since 2017. His dedication and competence have made the group a benchmark in the engineering market, both nationally and internationally. He considers his role not a privilege but a duty, overseeing every aspect of work with strategy and attention to detail. Motivated by great passion, he has driven the group towards a future for those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.
ENRICO FRANZESE
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Born in 1977, Enrico has over 20 years of experience in road infrastructure, particularly highways. He graduated in Telecommunications Engineering in Florence and began his career in plant systems for highway tunnels, eventually expanding his expertise to broader infrastructure fields. An avid reader and writer of novels, he enjoys country life and DIY projects.
CLAUDIO SETTI
TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Born in 1976, Claudio has over 27 years of experience in designing technological and plant systems, ensuring efficiency and innovation in every project. He graduated in Electrical and Automation Engineering in Florence and began his career in BIM modeling, eventually obtaining his BIM Manager certification. With a collaborative approach and strong organizational skills, he coordinates team professionals to enhance work processes and deliver integrated design solutions. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities, caring for olive trees, and tending to animals.
